At Medserv Human Resources are key to our future success, continuous investment is key in order to be innovative and creative and ensuring the rights skills and competencies are in place to deal with such a dynamic industry. In line with the group’s strategy to support continuously the communities within which we operate, Medserv Malta in the past months had been supporting internships from the University of Malta. The aim being to provide invaluable experience and exposure to current University students as well as parade their existing skill set within the organisation. During Summer 2018, Medserv Malta had the pleasure to have Mr Joseph Abela and Mr Nathaniel Buttigieg D’Ugo, both B.Eng. (Hons) students as interns working and supporting our Technical and Health and Safety Departments respectively. It was a very positive and fruitful experience both for them as well for Medserv as one can note through their own feedback:
INTERNSHIPS AT MEDSERV THIS SUMMER
INTERNSHIPS AT MEDSERV THIS SUMMER
I have learned a lot from my experiences as a Medserv Engineering Intern. I have also learned a lot about the oil and gas industry, especially knowledge about drilling fluid due to the work I have carried out on developing operating procedures for the maintenance of the mud plant at the Medserv base. Thanks to the guidance from Ing. Thomas Gauci I have also enhanced my education on management from his professional approach and dedication to his work. Other tasks also include maintenance schedules for the various technical assets present at Medserv. Without this internship, I certainly wouldn’t have fulfilled my expectation to be able to apply what I have learned from the engineering course I am currently reading for at university.
